, discusses an accessibility feature from Xerox. They have added a USB port to their   copiers and multifunction systems.

 

From the article:

The port can be connected to any compatible PC (Windows 2000 or XP) running the Xerox Copier Assistant™ Software. The software provides access via the PC to all the walk-up copying functions available from the touch-screen, whilst continuing to allow access from the touch-screen.

 

Therefore a person with a visual impairment requiring either magnification software or a screen reader can independently operate these devices. This creates possible employment opportunities and advances the quest for full access.
