I still have not heard anything from the folks at Blog Carnival. It’s  really too bad that they are choosing not to respond.

In  the  comments of the prior post, Lon, the host of the Assistive Technology Blog Carnival wanted to clarify that BC is simply the technology used to organize the carnival. The use of the inaccessible BC site in no way represents the views of the carnival host.

As I pointed out in my original post, Lon has made alternative methods of submission available. Not only do I appreciate that,but I think it was a responsible move.

At some point I would think those within the disability community or in some way affiliated with organizations for PWD’s, would feel the need to unite in support of an accessibility issue.

It’s obvious that the issue isn’t major as far as inaccessibility goes. However, in my opinion every website developer, software and consumer electronics vendor that learns about the concerns of inaccessible products, takes us one step closer to the goal of equal access.

Some ideas for those BC users who support accessibility;

Follow Lon’s lead by asking readers of your blogs to show their support by writing to BC. Thanks Lon for providing a link on your sidebar.

Use the BC tool to share posts about web inaccessibility including website’s not adhering to w3c standards, visual only CAPTCHA’s and non captioned video.

Feel free to share other ideas.
